Who will follow in Jon Moxley & Chris Jericho's footsteps as AEW World Champions?

As Eddie Kingston so richly pointed out during his feud with Jon Moxley, becoming AEW World Champion is the reason most people get into this sport in the first place.

Going through the blood, sweat, and tears, throughout years and years of turmoil and struggle, earns a wrestler the right to call themselves Best in the World when they raise that belt high. Yes, it comes with a tremendous target on your back, but as Jim Ross loves reminding us: you should be aiming to get the winners purse in every big match you are in.

Whether after a tremendous run on the independent scene or coming from the land of the Sports Entertainers (another great quote from Kingston) this list will take a look Pretty Platinum, and the men who should be fortunate enough to hold her in the future.

These wrestlers have all been making names for themselves on Tuesday nights. The lengthy World Title reigns of Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho suggest they'll need to be patient and wait their turn, but star-making is a gradual process anyway. Perhaps it'll come later rather than sooner, but someday, somehow, gold will come their way...

10. Eddie Kingston

What an incredible story for Eddie Kingston this year, going from selling his gear in order to pay his mortgage to challenging Jon Moxley for the World championship at Full Gear just a few weeks ago. He made the most of one Dynamite opposite Cody Rhodes match and turned it into the run of a lifetime.

Kingston is one of the best promo guys on earth right now, talking with the swagger of Ric Flair and the prowess of Tupac Shakur. He wrestles every match like it's his last one and it makes you want to cheer for him even if he is the villain. He knows how to tell a story within the ropes and it shines through when he enters the squared circle, and hopefully program against Death Triangle will be nothing but excellent storytelling from all team members involved.

He has everything a company would look for in someone to be their World Champion, so don't be surprised when he has his hand held up after winning the big one. Beating Moxley for it would be poetic justice, but a babyface run at the top of the card would be the kind of swerve that would be accepted by fans.

Sean McBride hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
