5. Flippy Sh*t

Flip Gordon's bout with the revived 'Black Machismo' wasn't without problems, but his quest to be booked on the show was handled well enough for the fans to have patience with the other story that ultimately swallowed the spotlight on his big night.

Jay Lethal's Being The Elite panic attacks over his former TNA persona overtaking his psyche ultimately fed into the match more than anything Flip had left to offer. Even his platonic friendship with Brandi was rendered just that - she was as big a part of the joke as anybody else there, cast as Lethal's 'Miss Elizabeth' for the night in a series of spots that saw Lethal flicking between Randy and Jay depending on who was tapping him on the shoulder.

The reveal of Lanny Poffo as the guiding light (and ringside second) was a cute touch for something that as has always been a loving tribute rather than tired parody, as was the inclusion of some signature Savage moments before the Ring Of Honor World Champion snapped out of it and gave both himself and his opponent the Lethal Injection to ensure his period in the indie wrestling big-time lasted longer than a cup of coffee.
