10 Amazing Heel Turns That WWE Immediately Ruined

8. 1-2-3 Kid

On a total sidenote, it's brilliant to see Sean Waltman getting his flowers these days. A revolutionary, a game-changer, and an all-round incredible talent, Waltman has overcome demons and some incredible personal lows to now be in a great place with his life.

Anyways, as part of his influence on the industry, Sean's time as 1-2-3 Kid made him a great underdog babyface who wowed audiences with a frenetic, high-flying offense rarely seen in mainstream US promotions. But when the Kid turned heel in November 1995, not only was it a huge shock, but it threw up plenty of intrigue as to how this natural babyface would fare as a no-good coward under the stewardship of Ted DiBiase.

As for that heel turn, 1-2-3 Kid - serving as special guest referee - screwed over Razor Ramon in a match which pitted the Bad Guy against the Million Dollar Corporation's Sycho Sid. Much like Tatanka had done a couple of months prior, the Kid had sold his soul to the Million Dollar Man.

The turn itself was certainly unexpected, but it offered up an opportunity to portray the Kid in a new, sinister light. Unfortunately, any chance of taking the former Lightning Kid seriously was ruined at In Your House 6 just three months after his turn.

That PPV would of course see 1-2-3 Kid lose a Crybaby bout against Razor Ramon; a bout which saw the Kid doused in baby powder, wear a diaper, and suck on a baby bottle.
