10 Amazing Wrestling Matches You’ve Never Seen

6. Ultimate Warrior Vs. Vader

There was something incredibly bizarre about Warrior's WWF return in 1996. It gave the company a rare chance to book in a load of cross-generational money matches as one of the undisputed icons of the '80s returned to clash with the new stars of the 90s, but somehow every single match just felt... weird.

Take this for example, a theoretically mouthwatering clash between two heavyweights of different eras, which fans likely thought they'd never ever get to see. Ask anyone to lay this out and it's a heavy-hitting, back and forth, with Warrior digging deep to find the strength to overcome his more dominant opponent.

lol nope.

This is a ten-second squash match where Warrior puts Vader away before even he could get gassed. Perversely, that sort of thing provides an appeal all of its own though, and something so comically and needlessly one-sided is worth watching purely for its own sake. Examined in context, so much about this doesn't work but taken purely at face value it's a very enjoyable, very short, little thrill.

If nothing else this is great because of how excited the crowd are for it. Warrior's appearances during this run were few and far between, and they soaked in every single second of it.
