10 Amazing Wrestling Matches You’ve Never Seen

5. Ric Flair Vs. Antonio Inoki

A personal favourite of mine this, purely because it involves Antonio Inoki and, well, everything involving Antonio Inoki is brilliant. The man once put on a wrestling show in Iraq in order to help him negotiate the release of over 100 hostages from Saddam's military regime but, that's a story for another time.

Collision in Korea, officially known as the Pyongyang International Sports and Culture Festival for Peace, was a joint event between New Japan and WCW, and was the first time any North American promotion had produced an event on North Korean soil. Now, to stick this on a list of matches people haven't seen might sound ridiculous, given the claimed attendance was just shy of 200,000 people, but it's one of the only WCW shows that you can't get on the WWE Network and has steadily faded from memory.

The main event, a genuine dream match between Inoki and Flair who were, at the time, icons on their own respective wrestling continents, is brilliant. It's a banger 15-minute contest that's befitting of the grand scale and mind-boggling absurdity of the whole event. Despite the event trying to protect all the stars from the various companies, Flair takes the L from Inoki as clean as a whistle, and the two embrace after the bell.

Catch it immediately on YouTube. If nothing else, Eric Bischoff's 'how is this my life' commentary vibe is a true marker for the age.
