In 2014 after 10 months of keeping completely quiet and distant from the wrestling world and fuelling rumours and speculation of his whereabouts and future plans, ‘The Best in the World’ CM Punk appeared on what is now the most infamous and legendary podcast episode in the history of wrestling podcasts. On Colt Cabana’s ‘The Art of Wrestling’ podcast Punk verbally took no prisoners and heavily laid into WWE for its treatment of him, especially with allegations of medical malpractice regarding a large painful lump on his back that he had to wrestle through. This generated a lawsuit from WWE doctor Christopher Amann against Punk that lasted years and cost huge amounts of money and time and is one of the reasons Punk and Cabana still don’t talk to this day.

When Punk claimed in the episode he competed in the Royal Rumble 2014 with a ‘baseball-sized, purple lump on his back located near the waistband of his tights’ that Dr. Amann didn’t give proper attention to, WWE.com would later remarkably post in response an article titled ‘WWE addresses CM Punk's allegations’ which featured a 3 and a ½ minute video featuring close-ups of Punk’s lower back and butt throughout the match. They concluded the article with ‘Watch the video above and decide for yourself.’
