With it came a mix of daredevil escapades and hard sparring, which gradually progressed into a relentless acrobatic display from both parties.

This gold-star main event brought a touch of NXT magic with it, and served as a love letter to the indie promotion and the fanbase which supported it. For this reason, all concerned made sure the boxes were ticked, with heavy hits and blistering technicality reigning supreme.

For all of Cole's belligerent charisma, you must also send a big wedge of praise in the direction of Tozawa. It's hard to tell how much foresight went into him snapping the back of his head off the turnbuckle, or getting his leg caught in the railings after his senton off the apron, but it sure added to the human-bullet quality of his performance.
