10 Awesome Matches On Awful WWE Shows
2. Shawn Michaels Vs The Undertaker (WrestleMania 25)
The epic which kicked off a legendary run of matches that would mark an 'End of an Era' was on a show with a number of disappointments, including an extremely boring Triple H versus Randy Orton main event.
The 25th anniversary of WrestleMania did look on paper to be quite an exciting card, but most of the matches did not live up to the billing. Matt and Jeff Hardy had a tame Extreme Rules match, whilst John Cena, Edge, and Big Show had a lacklustre World Title match unworthy of the 'Grandest Stage of Them All.'
Luckily, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker had one of the best matches in the company's history to put a somewhat positive spin on the pay-per-view. The 30-minute match is a masterpiece of pacing and drama, without relying too much on the latter like some other WrestleMania 'classics' tend to have.
Fans would have hoped the match would have begun an extremely exciting end to the show, with two World Title matches still to follow, but they both paled in comparison.
Triple H and Randy Orton going 25 minutes at any point is a nightmare, let alone in the main event of WrestleMania.
