8. Cody Rhodes Wins A Ladder Match

Because, as noted by the man himself in the lead-up to AEW Revolution 2021, 'The American Nightmare' has never actually won a ladder match in his entire career in-between the ropes.
It's not as though he hasn't had his fair share of opportunities to do so either.
Throughout his time in both WWE and AEW, Rhodes has battled it out in MITB, Face of the Revolution and Championship ladder contests. But on each and every one of those occasions, Cody just hasn't been able to get the job done.
Perhaps 2023 will finally bring an end to this unexpected streak of dreadful ladder performances and Rhodes will get one step closer to finishing his all-important story. But as of writing, the former AEW EVP still somehow hasn't found a way to break his under-the-radar ladder curse, one that has surprisingly seen him fail to unhook the prize at the top of the ladder during eight different contests possessing the stipulation.
