3. The Dudley Boyz Battling With The Briscoe Brothers
The entire wrestling world is still largely coming to terms with the tragic loss of Jay Briscoe earlier this year. And with one half of the well-respected Briscoe Brothers unit being taken far too soon, said reality meant that 50% of another iconic tag team was left with one of their biggest regrets.
As D-Von Dudley would note during a virtual signing in January, there was actually a moment in time when an unquestionable dream match between The Dudley Boyz and The Briscoe Brothers could've very much happened inside of a squared-circle.
But after the former team left WWE for the second time in 2016, their brief return to the independent scene never actually resulted in that intriguing doubles bout being booked before D-Von's eventual retirement a few months later.
With both units being present and up there as two of the best teams in the business at largely the same time, the fact this one never went down even just the one time is particularly surprising.
