10 Awesome WWE Entrance Themes That Went To Waste

1. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was promoted as a pretty big deal when he made his WWE debut in August 2009. It was said he was signed to a SmackDown contract by Vince McMahon himself, referring to him as "The Chosen One." That all but confirmed McIntyre was going to have the rocket strapped to his back and would be pushed almost immediately. Mere months later, he captured the Intercontinental Championship. The entrance theme he came into the company with wasn't anything special, but when he started using "Broken Dreams" by Shaman's Harvest, only then did fans start to take notice. He was a bit boring at times, and the slow start to his theme was evident of that, but it was also methodical in a way. So slow that fans questioned whether he would snap once he stepped through the ropes and the bell rang. He was on the fast track to super stardom in 2010, but failing to win the Money in the Bank briefcase and getting into an actual altercation with his wife Taryn Terrell significantly hurt his stock in the company. From that point forward, he was no longer a regular on WWE TV. There was a glimmer of hope among fans in 2014 that he would break away from 3MB and go back to using that amazing theme song, but his eventual release ensured we would never hear it again. Any chance WWE recycles it for someone down in NXT? We can only dream. Which other WWE themes need to be recycled? Share your favourites below in the comments thread.
