10 Awesome WWE Moments That Went Absolutely Nowhere

5. Bray Wyatt's Teased Face Turn (Raw - April 2016)

It'd take a greater word count than this to do Bray Wyatt's many misbookings justice, but WWE appeared to have concocted the perfect career-reviving tonic after WrestleMania 32.

WWE teased a complete babyface turn on the April 4th episode of Raw. The turgid League Of Nations were in the ring, putting the boots to deposed group member Wade Barrett, when the lights cut. The Wyatt Family were stood in the ring as they came back on and promptly battered Rusev, Sheamus, and Alberto Del Rio, drawing a huge, positive response from the crowd.

A similar situation unfolded the following week, when Bray and his gang saved Roman Reigns from the League. The unlikely duo then came together for a main event against Sheamus and Del Rio, and scored victory after a hot closing stretch that saw ADR felled by a Sister Abigail, and the Irishman fall to a spear, accompanied by huge babyface pops.

Even fans who'd long since lost hope in Wyatt were fired up by his organic reactions, yet it was all for nought, as he returned as a heel after injuring himself on a European tour.
