2. Roman Reigns’ Heel Turn

Roman Reigns' heel turn has been the best character work WWE has done in years. Roman is excelling in the run of his career, looking better than ever in the ring, cutting unbelievably brilliant promos and is in the middle of a masterful storyline alongside cousin Jey Uso. Everything he has touched since winning the Universal Championship has turned to gold.

This won't be a surprise to the fans who cried for him to turn heel over the years, believing that his true potential could be unlocked by a run as an antagonist. While many people, this writer included, happily cheered him as a babyface, it's clear that there were perfect times to flip the switch and allow Roman to properly come into his own as a villain.

The perfect one was after his victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, an unpopular result for the majority of wrestling fans, where he leaned into the heat caused by his victory and seemed to be approaching a legitimate heel turn. Unfortunately, it didn't happen and Roman remained an excellent wrestler without the correct reaction from the crowd. But now, he's just getting better every week and he's not even close to his peak yet.
