3. Sting Debuting In WWE
Sting's debut at the end of Survivor Series 2014 is one of those perfect wrestling moments. There are always a few instances in this medium that send shivers down the spine of everyone in attendance and watching at home, Sting's long awaited arrival to WWE is one of them. No matter how many times you see it, the perfect timing of the lights going out and the icon appearing on the stage is transcendent, a legend coming in for one last run as the saviour.
That moment remains as a perfect encapsulation of WWE's strengths: they are the best at creating single pieces of perfect wrestling history, snapshots of brilliance surrounded by years of disappointment on either end. But sadly, we missed out on so many dream matches due to Sting's hesitations over joining WWE and his loyalty to TNA following the closure of WCW.
The icon's debut happening during the Invasion would have been monumental but if he'd made a shock appearance in the build to a WrestleMania, announcing that he was challenging The Undertaker in an attempt to end his Streak, it would have been a classic moment and given him time for a variety of other dream matches.
