6. Evolution (Raw - April 2014)
It's safe to say all three members of Evolution who walked out that night expected more. They were one of the formative WWE stables of the early '00s and responsible for dozens of title wins and storylines.
When they appeared on Raw in April 2014 to take on the Shield, the response was tepid at best. Thankfully, the Motorhead was drowning out the incredible silence when they slowly walked down the ramp and took it to Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns. Even when the three of them stood on the ring apron, the reaction was muted.
This should have been a bigger deal. Batista, Orton, and HHH are all Hall-of-Fame worthy and them re-emerging as a united group in the face of the incredible underdog story of Daniel Bryan and the emerging babyface status of the Shield should have been seen as a major 'holy sh*t' moment.
The commentary team didn't help, as the first things they said were 'Oh man!' and 'Oh no!', like one of them had just spilt a coffee onto the announce desk, not like one of the most dominant stables in modern WWE had just re-joined and strolled onto the stage.
Thankfully, this return was saved by two decent matches between the two factions at Payback and Extreme Rules, before Batista left for the bright lights of Hollywood.
