10 Backstage Wrestling Rivalries You Won't Believe

8. Kenny Dykstra's Beef With John Cena

A lot of younger WWE fans might not remember the name Kenny Dykstra. Once a young prodigy on the roster, Dysktra started out as a member of the Spirit Squad, a group of male cheerleaders which also included Dolph Ziggler. Released in 2008, Dykstra was once engaged to Mickie James, which is where his problems with John Cena apparently stem from. Basically, Dykstra started calling out Cena for "adultery", amongst other things, and claims that Mickie James once confessed to him that she had been seeing Cena behind his back. Incredibly, Dykstra said he found James on Google, searching for rumours of her secret relationship with the multi-time WWE Champion, before admitting to her then-boyfriend why. Further to his criticisms of Cena, Kenny Dysktra has also been pretty outspoken about WWE, a company he feels did little to protect him during the whole situation. When the promotion did find out about the love triangle, Dykstra was transferred over to the Smackdown brand, so he wouldn't have to be around James and Cena. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqC6lu3ho4k This is one situation which pops up every now and then in shoot interviews with Dykstra, and even Mickie James herself has been asked about it on multiple occasions. There are no reports of an actual physical fight between the two men involved, but it's safe to say that Dykstra still holds a severe grudge against John Cena.
