8. Sid Vicious Vs. Arn Anderson

On 27 October 27, 1993, one of the most brutal fights in pro wrestling history took place. After a long plane ride and an even longer bus ride, the stars of WCW were unwinding in a hotel bar when Sid Vicious and Arn Anderson got into an argument. Insults were shouted and beers were thrown, but nothing was hurt besides some pride. At least until later.

Sid, still angry, came to Arn's hotel room with a chair leg in hand, ready to fight. According to Sid, he thought better of it and decided to merely patch things up, but Anderson met him with a pair of scissors (it should be noted that most versions of the story note the opposite - that Sid introduced the scissors to the fight). A huge, bloody brawl ensued, with both men stabbed repeatedly and hospitalized. Vader would later recall that he had to place his thumb in a stab wound in Sid's gut to stop the bleeding until paramedics arrived.

Sid was fired for the incident (allegedly, many coworkers threatened to leave if he wasn't) while Anderson was suspended. This forced a change to the Starrcade '93 main event, which was originally supposed to pit Sid and Vader against one another.
