10 Best Active Wrestlers Who Will Never Be World Champion
6. Luchasaurus
Luchasaurus has size, personality, and can really go in the ring. Despite being a big man, Luchasaurus is able to move in the ring like a cruiserweight. Luchasaurus has also already achieved success as he is currently one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions. He’s so good he even got a gimmick as a dinosaur over with the audience!
So what is missing for Luchasaurus to have the same success as a singles star? Well… his gimmick is that he’s a prehistoric dinosaur with a master's degree.
Don’t get it twisted, Luchasaurus is very popular and well over with the fans, but when you’re in the same promotion as guys like Adam Cole, “Hangman” Adam Page, Kenny Omega, and MJF, it’s just going to take something more to get the nod over these guys. Also at play is the fact that AEW’s owner Tony Khan seems much higher “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. Given that Jungle Boy is only 24 and well over with the fans, while Luchasaurus is currently 37, it’s not hard to see why.
Luchasaurus has time left in the squared circle and has personality, so if he ever does decide to drop the mask and dinosaur gimmick, it’s within reason that he could make a run for the World Title. Luchasaurus recently even stated his willingness to go on a heel run within AEW, so this definitely isn’t off the table. With that said, it would still be hard to see Luchasaurus with the AEW World Title while their talent pool is filled with younger, talented stars. So, while Luchasaurus may never hold World Title gold, there’s no denying his incredible talent.
