10 Best Booked Wrestling Babyfaces Of 2020

9. Jey Uso

At the beginning of 2020, no one would have thought that Jey Uso would be one of of the top babyfaces on SmackDown. Fortunately, we were all wrong, and Jey has had one of the shortest, yet most successful babyface runs in the past few years.

The Usos returned at the start of 2020, helping Roman Reigns in his never-ending feud with Baron Corbin. Following this however, they did very little. The pair fought for the SmackDown tag team titles at WrestleMania, but following a legitimate knee injury, both Jimmy and Jey were side-lined.

September comes around and Jey Uso replaces Big E in a Fatal Four Way Number One Contenders match. Following this hard-fought effort, Jey wins and gets his shot at The Big Dog himself. From here, Jey's babyface booking was just perfect. He had a great, emotional performance against Reigns at Clash of Champions, then followed it up with an even more emotional match at Hell In A Cell, which brought a fair amount of the audience to the brink of tears.

This short, two PPV run was enough to cement Jey as one of the top babyfaces of the year. His fiery promos were excellent. His babyface comeback sequences against Roman were exceptional as well. There are not enough good things that can be said about Jey's flawless face run.
