10 Best Booked Wrestling Babyfaces Of 2020
4. Drew McIntyre
In recent years, the Royal Rumble winner hasn't gone on to have great babyface run. Seth Rollins had a failed face run to kick off 2019, and Shinsuke Nakamura turned heel in his WrestleMania match. Drew McIntyre on the other hand has been doing great work since his Rumble win.
After his victory at the Rumble, Drew immediately came out on RAW and cut a great promo. He challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at 'Mania and slayed the Beast (sadly in front of no fans) to become the new face of RAW.
From there, Drew has been having stellar feuds. He had a great match with Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank, followed by a surprisingly good match against Bobby Lashley at Backlash, and finished off this trio of PPV victories with brilliant bout against Dolph Ziggler at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.
McIntyre is now embroiled in a feud with Randy Orton, which has easily gone on too long but has also had some good moments. Both men have been delivering great promos, and the matches have been good across the board. Despite the fact that Drew lost the title at Hell In A Cell, after only three weeks, he's won it back again! In 2020, McIntyre has become a two time WWE Champion and is heading for the biggest match of his career against "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns at Survivor Series.
It's easy to look at Drew's 2020 and just see the Orton feud, but before those pair got involved, he was pretty much carrying RAW on his back. Having great match after great match as a babyface, fighting champion.
