10 Best Booked Wrestling Babyfaces Of 2020
5. "Hangman" Adam Page
Adam Page has had a terrific run in 2020.
Page and his tag team partner Kenny Omega won a number one contenders match in January, which then led to their Tag Team Title win on Dynamite a week later. This victory made the pair the top babyfaces in the division. Kenny is great in his own right, but this story has been all about Page.
He has been a conflicted and wounded character. His relationship with The Elite has been crumbling from the offset of Dynamite, but this was developed even more through his title match at AEW Revolution. A battle of babyface vs. babyface saw Page and Omega pick up the victory over their Elite buddies.
Hangman started showing more heel tendencies in the middle of the year. He teased joining The Dark Order and also cost The Young Bucks the tag team number one contenders match, which led to Page being kicked out of The Elite.
From there, Hangman has continued his sympathetic babyface run. He lost the tag titles to FTR but then found himself in the finals of the AEW World Championship Tournament and then lost to his former partner Kenny Omega.
Page's push hasn't been about wins and losses. It has been about character, and every piece of Hangman's booking has pushed his character forward. He has been the most sympathetic character on Dynamite.
