There's a common misconception that wins and losses are make or break for a pro wrestler's career.

This entry dispels that myth, 'cause NXT's Johnny Gargano's up and down year in terms of victories has nonetheless yielded spectacular results. The brand's 'Mr. Reliable' turned heel for a second time earlier in 2020 and then brought his long-running issues with on/off partner Tommaso Ciampa to a head.

Johnny has been fabulous alongside Candice LeRae, and he's a constant source of entertainment regardless of what WWE asks him to do. That really says it all; Gargano can cut serious sit-down promos (like he did with now former NXT announcer Mauro Ranallo in March) and work with pretty much anybody on the roster.

Worthwhile bouts with Ciampa, Finn Bálor, Isaiah Scott, Damian Priest and others have highlighted his deceptively great year. There's no need to move Gargano away from NXT, ever. He should be a lifer on that brand, and 2020 proved why.
