10 Best Brock Lesnar WWE Raw Moments
The best of The Beast on Monday nights.
Brock Lesnar returns to Raw tonight, marking his first WWE appearance since his victory over current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 31. Since then, Mick Foley & Stephanie McMahon's No.2 Draft pick fought and defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200 and was then subsequently informed that he had failed two pre-fight drug tests.
Yes, it's been a busy and eventful few months for Brock, even if he hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since April 3rd. With a big match against Randy Orton at SummerSlam on the horizon, the controversial 39-year-old is coming back to hype it. Orton referenced Lesnar getting popped for PEDs during his appearance on the Highlight Reel at Battleground last week, but will Lesnar (or more likely Paul Heyman) respond on Raw?
It wouldn't be surprising, since whenever Brock (and Heyman) show up on the WWE flagship show, it's usually a newsworthy event. Whether he's engaging in wild brawl, smashing a car into a thousand pieces or, hell, playing tug of war with the WWE Title (ugh), if Lesnar's on Raw then there's usually something to analyse come Tuesday morning.
Despite being a Smackdown-exclusive wrestler between August 2002 and March 2004, some of Lesnar's best WWE moments have happened under the red brand banner. To coincide with Lesnar's return to the so-called 'New Era', let's take a look at Brock's best Raw moments from years gone by, starting with his very first on-camera WWE appearance...
Note: this list is presented in chronological order.
10. The Debut - March 18 2002
After almost two years training in WWE developmental system Ohio Valley Wrestling and many months of competing in dark (untelevised) matches at WWE TV tapings, Brock Lesnar was finally given the go ahead to make his on-camera WWE debut on the post-WrestleMania X8 episode of Raw.
24 hours removed from the Showcase of the Immortals, the man who would soon be christened the 'Next Big Thing' gatecrashed a Hardcore Title match between Maven and Al Snow, laying waste to the Tough Enough men as well as an interfering Spike Dudley.
First he dropped Snow with a brutal spinebuster through a trash can and then he rocked Maven with an F5 before turning his attention to 'lil old Spike. Lesnar destroyed the runt of the Dudley litter with a harsh clothesline followed by a sickening triple powerbomb. It was quite the first impression.
Importantly, Lesnar did all of this while Paul Heyman - who had been absent from our screens since WWE won the Invasion at the Survivor Series in November 2001 - barked instructions from ringside. The next week on Raw, Lesnar was the No.8 draft pick for Raw during the initial WWE Draft, a surefire sign of intent.
Raw General Manager Ric Flair wasted little time in securing the services of the man who was destined to be the future of the business.
