Le Champion, The Wizard, The Demo God, The Ocho: Chris Jericho can just call himself the GOAT.

AEW has just celebrated its third anniversary of its flagship television show Dynamite, which has been a resounding success thus far. Stars such as Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, and the Young Bucks have carried the torch for the fledgling company into being a mainstream pro wrestling show, the first non-WWE one in almost two decades.

There is certainly an argument that the MVP of AEW throughout its beginnings has been the legendary Chris Jericho, as he has undergone yet another renaissance in his long and storied career. Undoubtedly the most prominent figure amongst the promotion's initial roster, Jericho provided the legitimacy and star power that the company needed when it planned to go live on international television in 2019.

The rockstar has already created a number of all-time moments in AEW, whether it be his time as the inaugural world champion or being put in feuds against some of the promotion's up-and-coming stars, he has almost always delivered. The master of reinvention may look back on his time in AEW as the best work of his career, which is incredible given that he is legitimately one of the greatest of all time.

Whenever Chris Jericho has been able to team with one of his stablemates in the Jericho Appreciation Society, or previously the Inner Circle, his star power always rubs off on his partner. The likes of 2.0 and Santana and Ortiz have been profiled tag teams due to their association with Jericho, whilst his combination with Jake Hager has been more effective than many would have imagined when the MMA fighter turned up in AEW.

The best example of this has been when he teams alongside Sammy Guevara as part of Le Sex Gods. It is clear that the two enjoy working together and do so tremendously, as Jericho attempts to keep up with his younger and more athletic protege.

The tandem is a great over-the-top heel unit that gives Jericho license to be humorous as well as cruel, which is the type of character that the legend plays best. Le Sex Gods could easily have challenged for the AEW World Tag Team Championships in the past as the act was over with the fans, so this is something that the company could potentially revisit in the future.
