10 Best Debut Editions Of WWE PPVs

Fast Lane debuts on the WWE Network in February...

WWE's newest pay per view, Fast Lane, makes its debut on the WWE Network on February 22. Fast Lane takes the place of Elimination Chamber which had occupied February's PPV slot since 2010. The removal of the Elimination Chamber match will come as a relief to our beloved superstars while the WWE Universe will undoubtedly be up in arms. The Chamber is renowned as being one of the least favourite match types of many WWE superstars past and present. The chain linking that surrounds the cage makes it hard to pull off many elaborate spots while the likes of Chris Jericho have bemoaned the stiffness and harshness of the Chamber's steel floor. Many will argue that the PG nature of WWE's programming means the likes of Elimination Chamber and Hell in Cell are now obsolete. Since making its debut at the 2002 Survivor Series, the Elimination Chamber match had become one of the better gimmick matches WWE staged. Its exclusion from 2015's pay per view schedule is somewhat bemusing. Tables, Ladders and Chairs has kept its spot somehow, even after December's debacle. There has already been two matches confirmed for Fast Lane while Triple H is scheduled to make a huge announcement regarding Seth Rollins on Raw tonight. Could the former Shield member be set for a title rematch against Brock Lesnar? The confirmed bouts see Rusev defend his United States Championship against John Cena while Paige challenges Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship. Also, The Game and Sting will 'have an encounter' in the ring which is expected to result in their highly anticipated match at WrestleMania. This is a fantastic opening couple of offerings by WWE for Fast Lane. If they can add another four or five compelling matches to the card, and no meaningless tag team matches, we're on for a winner. Here's 10 more pay per views that have made an indelible impact on their debut.
