Edge and The Undertaker closed out WrestleMania XXIV with a great match. Five months later, they closed out SummerSlam with an even better one. "The Rated-R Soooooooooooperstar" had previously beaten Taker at One Night Stand, a defeat that meant The Phenom had been banished from WWE.

However, after it was revealed that Edge was cheating on his fiancée, SmackDown GM Vickie Guerrero, The Deadman was reinstated and given the opportunity to make Edge pay for what he'd done.

Not only was Edge facing one of his greatest rivals, he was doing it in his own signature match - Hell in a Cell. The match was really good - one of the best Cell bouts ever - and ended when Undertaker dropped Edge with a Tombstone to claim his vengeance.

However, it was what happened after this match that gave fans the lasting image of this Pay-Per-View. Undertaker chokeslammed Edge from a ladder so hard that he went through the ring.

After being sent straight to hell, The Deadman summoned flames to shoot out of the hole in the ring, creating one of the best visuals in SummerSlam main event history.

Campy, but wonderful.
