10 Best Ever Counters To WWE Wrestling Finishers

5. The Counter That Killed The Streak (WrestleMania 30)

The Rock Eddie Guerrero Counter
WWE

Brock Lesnar countering The Undertaker's Tombstone Piledriver into a match-winner F5 is perhaps more memorable for its significance than its execution, but it still looks great.

While most of the moments on our list look slick, well-timed, and extremely precise, this does not. Nor should it. Lesnar and Undertaker are two big, monstrous dudes who'd emptied their tanks trying to put each other away. That 'The Beast Incarnate' wobbles and is forced to step around the ring to keep his balance after hoisting the legend on his shoulder conveys a sense of struggle. Then, when he finally nails the move, Brock is like a spent prizefighter throwing one last Hail Mary before his own body gives out.

Cue: the pinfall, and one of the most controversial moments in WrestleMania history.

Say what you will about Lensar ending The Undertaker's legendary Streak, but this was a real heart-in-mouth counter for one of the most shocking 'Show of Shows' outcomes ever.
