10 Best Ever Counters To WWE Wrestling Finishers

4. Eddie Guerrero's F5 Escape (No Way Out 2004)

The Rock Eddie Guerrero Counter
WWE

The charm and charisma of Eddie Guerrero were such that he could literally cheat his way to a WWE Heavyweight Championship victory and it would still go down as one of the most cathartic, euphoric title wins in history.

'Latino Heat' scored his career's biggest victory by countering Brock Lesnar's F5 into a swinging DDT onto the belt itself. "Eddie cheated!" shouted Tazz, but nobody cared. Not a single person cared. Out went the belt, up went Eddie, and down came the Frog Splash. 1, 2, 3 - done.

The counter (and moment) fit Eddie to a tee. Physically overmatched against 'The Next Big Thing,' he dived deep into his bag of tricks to pull a fast one on a monstrous opponent who'd dominated him for large portions of an epic title fight. It was the cunning and craftiness that made him such a huge favourite and a perfect way to cap one of his most spirited performances.
