10 Best "Everything You Know Is A Lie" Moments In Wrestling

5. Goldberg Batters The Beast

The 2016/17 Goldberg Vs Brock Lesnar rivalry was handled masterfully from the first moment the former WCW Champion appeared on television through to him losing the Universal Championship to 'The Beast' at WrestleMania 33 several months later.

WWE had the task of erasing any memories of Big Bill's miserable original run with the company when he arrived for a Survivor Series rematch with Brock Lesnar. Including, oddly enough, the original battle between the two.

WrestleMania XX had been a disaster for the reasons facts are worse than fiction in wrestling. The men were both leaving, New York City knew it, and loved wrestling more than the pair of them put together. The more the two men tried, the more they were sh*t on. Less would have been more that night, but not for the reasons anybody could have predicted when the match was pitched several months earlier.

With water under the bridge and WWE having nothing left to lose and everything to gain with Goldberg second time around they...didn't mess it up. This was after both the 2014 and 2015 Royal Rumbles, and Roman Reigns was still getting booed out of every building. It wasn't just a miracle they pulled this shocker off - but that they had enough understanding of why it had to be this shocking at all.
