Having made history by being part of the first ever WrestleMania main event - being in the corner of Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff in their match against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T - 'Cowboy' Bob Orton would return to WWE in 2005 to spend nearly a year at the side of his son, Randy.

After Cowboy Bob was announced as being an inductee into the 2005 WWE Hall of Fame, he soon found himself appearing on WWE TV as part of Randal Keith's rivalry with the Undertaker heading into WrestleMania 21. Initially portrayed as the desperate father pleading with the Phenom to show some mercy towards his son, forever the heel, Bob was in cahoots with the Viper in his quest to topple 'Taker.

Not just did this period give audiences the chance to see Bob and Randy working together on-screen, but we also got to see Cowboy have several matches as his son's tag team partner - most notably when the Ortons defeated the Undertaker in a handicap casket match at 2005's No Mercy PPV.

Cowboy Bob would be gone from WWE in February 2006, but he has since made occasional appearances for the company in the years since, including being briefly featured in Randy Orton's 2017 feud with Jinder Mahal.
