10 Best Insults In The History Of MMA

8. Nate Diaz - Real Money Fight

Nate Diaz is one of the true veterans of the sport of MMA.

Debuting way back in 2004, Diaz compiled a respectable record of 5-2 outside of the UFC before receiving the invitation to compete on the now-legendary fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter.

Diaz defeated Manny Gamburyan in the finale of TUF, before establishing himself as a fan favourite at 155lbs for his personality and penchant for violence. The Stockton native cemented himself as a perennial contender during this time and earned victories over the likes of Donald Cerrone, Takanori Gomi, and Gray Maynard.

However, despite being something of a cult icon among the hardcore sections of the UFC fanbase, Diaz hadn't had the opportunity to properly endear himself to the wider majority of MMA fans.

This would all change when the BJJ black belt delivered a career-best performance against Michael Johnson in 2015. After having his hand raised in the fight broadcast on cable TV in the US, Diaz set his sights on the biggest star in the sport in his post-fight interview, sparking one of the greatest feuds in the history of MMA.

"F*ck that Conor McGregor, you're taking everything I worked for, mother f*cker. I'm gonna fight your f*cking ass. You know what's the real fight, what's the real money fight -- me. Not these clowns that you already punked at the press conference. Ain't nobody wants to see that. You know you can beat them already. It's an easy fight. You want the real sh*t. Right here."
