Yeah, I'd expect a whole lot of ladder matches on this list.

2012 was a strange one for TNA. At the beginning of the year, the story the company seemed to be telling was a year-long road to Robert Roode vs. James Storm for the TNA Heavyweight Championship. It was predictable, but it was also going to be great. The company didn't reckon on the soaring popularity of X-Division Champion Austin Aries, however.

Aries cashed in his championship for a shot at Roode's big belt and won, but for whatever reason the crowd began to turn on A Double as well. The Bound for Glory main event ended up being Aries defending against Jeff Hardy, and Hardy won to send the live crowd home happy.

Another TNA World Championship match between the two took place at Turning Point, only this time it was a ladder match. Aries was doing the best work of his career at this point and Hardy was motivated, so what we got was a true classic that stands up as one of the greatest TNA Title matches in company history.

The finish was great too, as Hardy hit Aries with a Twist of Fate on a ladder propped up on the top rope. Aries wasn't getting up from that, and Hardy was able to get up the ladder to retrieve the title.
