10 Best Kevin Owens WWE Moments

1. Winning The Universal Championship

Finally, we arrive at the most important moment of Kevin Owens' career so far. It's fair to say that the Universal Championship got off to a rocky start; the belt was booed during its unveiling (for its admittedly garish appearance), and its first holder - Finn Bálor - was forced to vacate the title the night after winning it, due to a serious shoulder injury.

Although Bálor's injury was a sad and frustrating incident, it did at least lead to an immensely entertaining moment on the August 29th edition of Raw. Owens found himself in a fatal four-way match for the vacant belt alongside Roman Reigns, Big Cass, and presumed favourite Seth Rollins.

Cass was eliminated from the contest fairly quickly, before Reigns was shockingly eliminated after a Pedigree from the returning Triple H. The Game entered the ring and stood between Owens and Rollins, having previously taken the latter under his wing during his quest for the WWE Championship. To the shock of all within the Houston Toyota Centre, Triple H blasted his former charge with a Pedigree and allowed Owens to capture his first world championship in WWE.

Although perhaps not the ideal way for KO to win the title, it was certainly a dramatic and effective one, totally in-keeping with his ruthless, selfish persona - as well as his perceived status as a hand-picked favourite of The Game's.

Quite how long Owens' reign will last is a mystery, especially with Bálor's return looming on the horizon, and a red-hot Seth Rollins in hot pursuit - but one thing is for certain: it should be an immensely exciting time with such an entertaining, talented superstar on top.
