10 Best Kurt Angle Matches

9. AJ Styles (TNA Hard Justice 2008)

Angle and AJ Styles didn't get the final showdown they and their fans would've wanted on a recent episode of SmackDown. That short match only existed to further AJ's issues with Randy Orton, and that's a damn shame. Or, is it? Looked upon another way, would Kurt have been able to live up to the crackers he and Styles had in TNA?

Probably not.

At Hard Justice 2008, AJ and Kurt went close to 25 minutes in a quite stunning 'Last Man Standing' epic that should remind everyone what TNA was capable of a decade or so ago. Though some WWE sympathisers may believe Angle was past his prime by the time he joined TNA, they're wrong. He had so much more to give.

This is available on demand via the oft-overlooked Global Wrestling Network. It is arguably the best match both men had together, and that's saying something considering other efforts at shows like Genesis 2010, Sacrifice 2012 and more.
