As the first Mistico signed for WWE and tanked as Sin Cara in North America, Mistico II started lighting up CMLL shows with lighting quick flurries that aped his predecessor perfectly.

So popular was the Mistico character that CMLL bosses wanted someone else to fill the role once the original departed his homeland.
