7. Seth Rollins Vs Dominik Mysterio (SummerSlam 2020)

Seth Rollins had one of his best nights in ages at SummerSlam 2020.

Playing a general entrusted with protecting the health of the newcomer and the investment of the company in him, the former Universal Champion erased memories of eye extraction with a scintillating one-man show that provided Dominik Mysterio with the best possible debut.

As with his quality no-fans bout against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 36, Rollins was seemingly just really up for this. Rolling back the years to his in-ring heel peak in 2015, he timed his cut-offs immaculately, as convincing as the evil pr*ck as he was a wreatling machine. Shooting Angie Mysterio a grim look at the top of the ramp was tremendous stuff - commentators and viewers alike could only speculate what hideousness he had planned in that split second before Dominik bravely broke up the moment in his latest fight for family honour. Forcing Rey to view the violence with some handcuffs was great old school stuff in a heat-laden effort dripping with it. A spiked powerbomb by Rollins violently brought things back to present day.

The messaging was big and daft and broad, but nothing lost for it - this was excellent at obscuring Dominik's limitations, as well as the entire storyline's inherent stupidity.
