Some 60-minute 'Iron Man' matches can be dreadfully slow affairs that crawl along with meagre pinfalls/submissions/disqualifications and only get good when the clock shows five minutes remaining (or less). That wasn't the case on the 18 September 2003 episode of SmackDown.

Kurt Angle, who has just been relieved of his duties as a WWE producer, and Brock Lesnar produced the goods like always. These machine-like, competitive souls put on a clinic. Their match was strangely better for being on TV rather than pay-per-view too; the ad breaks let them rest without killing their momentum.

If you only watch one 'Iron Man' match ever, make it this one. Seriously, it's that good, and it should remind everyone of just how awesome the Angle vs. Lesnar combo was. At 5-4, there were enough decisions to keep things lively, and...f*ck, it was just top class pro wrestling drama.

Fans in Raleigh, North Carolina got their money's worth that evening.
