Lio Rush might've been a heat-seeking machine backstage during his time in WWE, but he's still one hell of a worker. For proof, just look at the Cruiserweight Title match he worked with walking dreamboat Angel Garza on the 11 December 2019 episode of NXT.

Now that's a TV match.

In fact, this one was so well-worked that it could've taken place on a TakeOver special and nobody would've complained. Throughout, Lio defied his naturally heelish personality to work as a spitfire babyface who desperately wanted to hold onto his title.

He didn't - Garza bagged the belt, ending Rush's reign at 63 days, and he's gone from strength-to-strength as a Raw star since. This, regardless of all the news posts about Lio's life behind the curtain over the past few years, was a match to be proud of.
