10 Best Matches In WWE NXT History

7. Finn Bálor Vs. Kevin Owens (TakeOver: Brooklyn) (2015)

For anyone wondering why some fans are so frustrated with WWE's ongoing misuse of Finn Bálor, it's probably a good idea to check out this: the NXT Title ladder match he shared with Kevin Owens at TakeOver: Brooklyn two and a half years ago.

What makes this remarkable is that it was a match of which everyone already knew the outcome. Owens had been promoted to the main roster a couple of months earlier, making it highly unlikely that he would be regaining the belt in New York.

There were also notably few moments where one of the two was left climbing up the ladder at snail's pace while waiting for their opponent to swoop in and stop them in their tracks; both parties just seemed to have coordinated everything to a tee.

It didn't end on a mega-spot - The Demon King merely pushed KO off the top of the ladder and onto another one resting on the turnbuckle (which must've hurt, to be fair) - but there was enough there to make it one of the most exciting NXT has ever seen.
