10 Best Movies Starring WWE Hall Of Famers

3. Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)

Perhaps the most recognisable wrestler of all time (thanks in no small part to his red and yellow branding), Hulk Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by none other than Sylvester Stallone in 2005 celebrating, at the time, a career spanning four decades and just about every major promotion imaginable.

Hogan is one of the few inductees to have had his honour revoked, as following the uncovering of a racist rant from his past in 2015, the WWE decided to terminate his contract and pull his entry from the Hall of Fame. Vince McMahon has never been one to let a cash cow chew the cud, however, and Hogan was reinstated in 2018 when he returned to the promotion.

The moustachioed wrestler has had an illustrious career spanning film and TV, inside and out of the wrestling scene, but few of his movies -- or, indeed, his appearances -- are as good as the Gremlins sequel. The New Batch sees Gizmo and co. take New York (or at least a high-tech skyscraper), upping the antics and insanity from the first one exponentially. And part of this is Hogan's mid-film cameo, which sees the Gremlins stop the film to put on nude volleyball. The pro wrestler is the only one who can sort them out, delivering a typically bombastic speech that thankfully gets the show on the road again.
