10 Best Non-Chamber Matches In WWE Elimination Chamber History
3. The Shield vs. John Cena/Ryback/Sheamus (2013)
The fairly new trio The Shield faced off against a superstar babyface team of John Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus in the 2013 Elimination Chamber event.
JBL would sing the praises of The Shield on commentary all throughout this match. He heralded them as the greatest three man group in wrestling history. Jerry Lawler didn't sound as convinced.
As Rollins, Ambrose, and Reigns perfectly leveraged the numbers to their advantage throughout the match JBL would keep emphasizing his point. It might have been too brash to make those claims at this point in their WWE run but hindsight has proved to be on his side.
The ending to this match was superb. Ryback had Seth Rollins on his shoulders for a Shellshock but was speared by Reigns before he could finish the move. Rollins fell from The Big Guy's shoulders onto his belly, conveniently pinning him for the win.
The crowd was hot for this fantastic match. But as good as it was, The Shield had another match that topped even this one. More on that in a moment.
