10 Best Options To Be WWE's Next Top Guy
6. Keith Lee
Keith Lee was a longtime veteran of the independent scene, but at 33, there's still time to take him seriously as a potential top guy. A somewhat recent breakout, Lee made major waves in Evolve and PWG with his combination of size, arsenal of power moves, and freakish athleticism. Standing at six foot five and weighing nearly 300 pounds, he's definitely someone Vince McMahon would want to keep around in a prominent position.
Although, maybe he's too big. Vince McMahon certainly loves his big, sweaty men, and Lee is certainly a massive, powerful dude, but Vince also likes big, well-defined muscles. Keith isn't fat, but he is T H I C C (as the children stylize it), and history shows that would put you more in an upper-midcard or main event heel role, but not as the face of the company.
Plus, as Lee learns the WWE style at the performance center, it's possible he'll be stripped of a lot of the athletic maneuvers that made him such a breakout performer to begin with. But if he knows how to work a crowd (and history shows he's very good at that), such a thing should be a minor obstacle. Lee is still early in his NXT run, so we're well off from his debut on the main roster. However, when that time comes, hopefully, he'll get his chance to prove himself as a featured player.
