10 Best Possible Last Words Of Vince McMahon

8. "I Hate Wrestling"

Vince McMahon
WWE

Confirming what we've all known (and probably hated most) about him for years, Vince coming clean on his most obvious of filthy secrets would be a rather fitting way to say farewell. He found ways over the years to disassociate himself - "That's great Ted, we're in the entertainment business" was his curt reply to Ted Turner's infamous over-the-phone brag when he first purchased WCW - but wrestling's ironically been a skirt-chasing McMahon's loyal wife.

He's head his head turned by bodybuilding, music, football (twice), film and even restaurants, but wrestling remains the one commodity he's yet to have blow up in his face. Despite the state of Monday Night Raw in 2019.

He obviously doesn't hate wrestling, he'd patronisingly suggest if forced to, if he could even spit the dreaded W-word out once in a while. But he has to say that while he's still alive and making literal billions off it. A cyclical industry has financially come around again for The Chairman, but the television rights that have funded his revived football league were wildest dreams figures during the early-decade doldrums.

To even attempt to understand the man is to think he probably hates it even more as a result. Before the sweet relief of death, he can for once enjoy the sweet release of total honesty.
