TLC became an annual Pay-Per-View event in 2009, but a few years later, it had been a long time since anyone had seen a TLC match as crazy as the ones from the stipulation's heyday. That changed at the 2015 edition of the show, when The New Day defended the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Usos and The Lucha Dragons.

The New Day had dominated the tag team scene for most of 2015, emerging as the most entertaining wrestlers in the entire company. The Usos were longtime foes of theirs, making them natural opponents for a TLC match, and The Lucha Dragons' aerial ability meant that they were a perfect fit for the bout, as well. All the ingredients were in place for a classic.

The match started off brutally, with Kofi Kingston dropkicking a ladder into Jey Uso and Big E throwing Jimmy onto one with a belly-to-belly suplex. The excitement continued to build, but the craziest spot came when Kalisto hit Jey Uso with a Salida del Sol off the top of a ladder and through another ladder. Kalisto tried to capitalize by retrieving the belts, but Xavier Woods interfered, allowing Kingston to grab the titles and pick up the win.
