10 Best TNA Feuds Ever

8. Christian Cage vs. Rhino

An underrated, well-regarded midcard act in WWE, Christian jumped ship to TNA in late 2005 and grew a surname.

While many saw main event potential in 'Captain Charisma', his immediate move to the World Title was a booking misfire. Miscast as a white-meat babyface, Christian Cage delivered the goods in the ring but didn't quite set the world on fire or become a viable draw on top.

By summer '06, it was clear a change was needed as fans preferred supporting the likes of Sting, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Cruelly turning on 'The Stinger' at Hard Justice, the newly villainous 'Instant Classic' struck an unpleasant chord with audiences almost immediately.

As AEW fans have noticed this year, Christian Cage really finds his voice and style when he turns to the dark side.

TNA harked back to WWE mythology from there when old pal Rhino stepped up to teach Cage a lesson. Referencing Rhino's time as Edge and Christian's trusty pet man-beast, the pair now butted heads as a noble, considerably more civilised Rhino failed time and again to get the better of his former friend.

Stuffed with violent gimmick matches and suitably heartless promos from Cage, this feud was instrumental in getting the host of The Peep Show over as TNA's new top heel. The fact that Rhino never managed to get his win back solidified Christian Cage as a gifted and slippery villain who looked stronger than ever as he marched into his second run as NWA World Champion.
