10 Best Triple Threat Wrestling Matches Ever

4. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit (WWE Backlash 2004)

It's been said that the then-WWF were interested in signing Chris Benoit to a contract in the mid-90's. Had that happened, there's a possibility that fans would have witnessed matches such as this one long before they did. Thankfully, the wicked combination of Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels and Triple H made it all very much worth the wait. Of course, this was the second in a back-to-back PPV series featuring all 3. The WrestleMania bout (more on that later) had been very well received, but many were interested to see what Michaels, Benoit and HHH could do differently at Backlash. Just over one month after 'Mania, the trio were at it again. Earlier in the show, Randy Orton defeated Mick Foley in a match the latter still regards as his greatest ever. Hardcore rules enabled that one to be more brutal than the main event Triple Threat. That didn't sully the featured bout however, the smooth action on hand really needs to be seen to be believed.
