2. CM Punk's Pipebomb
Vince McMahon: "CM, we want you to cut a promo where you say whatever you like." CM Punk: "You can't be serious, Jeff? You're going to send me out there without a script to recite?" Vince McMahon: "Why yes I am, dammit." Do we think Vince McMahon regrets allowing an unscripted CM Punk loose on an episode of RAW in 2011? Do we think Vince, if he had the opportunity to do the deal again, would have Punk agree what he was going to say? Heck, was Punk's promo scripted? To this day its legitimacy is still very much up in the air, but it certainly sounded like the six-time World Champion was shooting from the hip. Punk interfered in a match between John Cena and R-Truth to cut arguably the greatest promo of the modern era. He did all this while wearing a Stone Cold Steve Austin shirt, it all felt so 'real.' Badmouthing Vince, Stephanie and Triple H along the way - and even spearing a little bit of time to say hello to his best friend Colt Cabana - Punk said everything that was on the minds of the WWE Universe and more. Work or shoot? It's a shoot (and an unscripted one at that) in my books, until I'm proven otherwise.
