Even if the Moody family had given WWE their blessing, it was still hard to watch CM Punk and Paul Heyman use the death of Paul Bearer on TV as a plot point for Punk's match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIX. One year later, WWE set things right by giving 'Taker the chance to say goodbye to his long time manager and friend.

As a respectful image of Bearer flashed up on the screen, fans in attendance at the Hall Of Fame 2014 ceremony were surprised to hear Undertaker's music play. That surprise turned to glee when 'Taker himself strolled out onto the stage with an urn in hand, dropped to one knee and raised the vessel up towards Bearer.

This was the way to celebrate Bearer's portrayal of the ghoulish character, and the moment was even more poignant because The Undertaker remained in character. Without Paul there to accept the induction, seeing his most famous associate pay tribute felt huge.
