9. Kurt Angle vs. Booker T (Smackdown - July, 2001)
Many fans agree that the Invasion storyline, which had WCW invading the WWF (also aligned with ECW to take down the McMahon empire), could have been handled a hell of a lot better. A gross understatement, for sure, the WWF threw away millions of dollars with how they booked the WCW crew to be so inferior to their WWF counterparts. Nonetheless, there were still some great matches which came out of the entire storyline, such as Booker T's WCW World Title defence against Kurt Angle on an episode of Smackdown in July, 2001. The Invasion Pay-Per-View had come and gone, but fans were still enthused by the prospect of a WWF star holding the WCW Title. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4kgxp_smackdown-26-07-2001-booker-t-vs-ku_sport Following a terrific TV bout, Angle would emerge victorious - not even interference from Kanyon or Steve Austin could stop him. Just a few short days later, Booker would regain the belt on Raw, but this win on Smackdown felt like a monumental occasion, and the only criticism could be aimed at the fact the match took place on free television.
