10 Best WCW World Title Matches Ever

4. Ric Flair vs. Vader (Starrcade 1993)

The name Ric Flair is one still closely associated with the WCW brand - so successful was 'The Nature Boy' in NWA/WCW that he's often one of the first people - along with the likes of Sting and Goldberg - that fans think of when asked about the promotion. Having been away in the WWF for around two years, Flair's triumphant return to the promotion he considered home was capped off with an exciting war against the mammoth Vader at Starrcade 1993. Incredibly, Flair wasn't the original choice to face Vader at Starrcade, that honour belonged to Sid Vicious, but he had been fired following an infamous stabbing incident with Arn Anderson months prior. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1l6j3_ric-flair-vs-vader-starrcade-93-par_sport Putting his career on the line (which may be a source of some amusement for fans now), Flair defied the odds and would win the WCW World Title once again, in what remains one of the best Starrcade main events ever. When people claim Flair was only good against opponents of a similar size to him, this match should be used as evidence of how untrue that statement is.
